#BushwickDaily Insta-Takeover: The Unexpected Visual Treasures of Everday Bushwick

Bushwick is full of treasures great and small, sometimes so small they go unnoticed

Instagram Takeover - Alex Frum - candy, toy dispenser

Bushwick is full of treasures great and small, sometimes so small they go unnoticed. Alex Frum, [guest Insta-] photographer and art curator from Portland, OR, focused on the little visual treats that might be overlooked, particularly in his neighborhood east of Myrtle Ave. He discovered a myriad of colors in found objects like candy/toy dispensers, crocheted street art (because that is most definitely a thing and it is actually pretty sweet), a strangely pretty pile of shoes, and much more.

Alex detected whimsy in the most everyday things - there's something incredibly sweet, or bittersweet, about it all. Make sure to go check out all of his pics from last week on our Instagram page.

This week: Dimitri Manousakis documents the churches of Bushwick!
