We’ve been waiting patiently for new music from Gesserit, the product of Bushwick based musician Eliza Black. Her hauntingly beautiful voice is front and center on the project’s latest single, “Silence,” so stay tuned for more on Wednesday night at Our Wicked Lady.  Plus performances from Extra Special, the new solo project of the dynamic Amelia Bushel (Grim Streaker, Belle Mare), and the lo-fi country stylings of Babies' Babies

Thursday, November 7

Water From Your Eyes, Palberta, Sweet Baby Jesus, Fantasy, 100% Zero at Rubulad, 8 p.m.

Local DIY collective Hartstop curated a special and diverse lineup for Thursday night’s show at Rubulad. Brooklyn based synth-pop duo Water From Your Eyes are celebrating the release of their latest album, Somebody Else’s Song, which is out now on Exploding In Sound Records. Also performing are the unclassifiable Palberta, garage funk outfit Sweet Baby Jesus, and Fantasy, who recently released a very Ariel Pink inspired single called “She’s Getting The Gist.” 100% Zero will play first.

Friday, November 8

Joy Cleaner, Drug Bug, Hotline, Good News For The Clovers at Gold Sounds, 7 p.m.

Bloomfield, New Jersey’s Joy Cleaner are set to release their second album, You’re So Jaded, this Friday on Jigsaw Records. The three advance singles from the record, “Pink Lite, “See Through,” and “Dramatization,” showcase the trio in prime form, further developing their knack for crafting catchy, power-pop gems. They’ll enjoy local support from a trio of great Brooklyn trios, including bedroom pop act Drug Bug, shoegazers Hotline, and emo-pop band Good News For The Clovers.

Saturday, November 9

Maninara, Daisy The Great, Anonymous Friends at The Footlight, 8 p.m.

Indie-rock quartet Marinara is celebrating the release of their debut album, I Feel Like Dog, with a night full of music and comedy at The Footlight. If you love lush, delicate harmonies, then you’ll likely swoon over support act Daisy The Great and their latest single, “I’m Fine.” Boston post-punk group Anonymous Friends add a touch of grit and fuzz to this lineup, and Alex Dragicevich, Chloe McGovern, Erik Scott will be doing stand up.
