If this blustery, never-ending winter has you yearning for outdoor drinks and balmy day parties, you’ll love this news: Nowadays, the seasonal biergarten/outdoor event space that brings joy to our summer weekends, is getting a permanent indoor spot we can enjoy all year round.

The new space was funded by a Kickstarter campaign launched by Nowadays owners Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin. They recently reached their goal to raise $50,000 and are beginning construction on the new site.

According to Nowadays and Ridgewood Social, the new indoor space is “already warm and inviting, thanks to a massive set of wraparound windows that bathe the space in northern and western sunlight…Imagine a loft space where you can throw a dinner party followed by an impromptu dance party.”

Sounds fun, right? On top of that, the new Nowadays will still be the home of the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday dance parties and will feature new parties with local and international DJs.

There will also be an outdoor weekly live music series in partnership with Le Poisson Rouge, making it the new home for Planetarium, the hi-fi listening and live music event series.

The new Nowadays will also be located at 56-06 Cooper Ave. in Ridgewood. We can’t wait to see what new shenanigans we can get into at the new year-round spot!
