Five Places To Eat and Drink Around Bushwick Open Studios 2018 — Food and Drink on Bushwick Daily

Five Places To Eat and Drink Around Bushwick Open Studios 2018

Look at the best art Bushwick has to offer while also sampling some of the best food in the area as well.

Abigail Koffler

This weekend marks the start of Bushwick Open Studios, a showcase of many talented artists, some with local roots. Art appreciation works up an appetite and here’s where you should head after:

1) Bunna Cafe

After checking out some art and having a few beers, get a table at Bunna Cafe. The Ethiopian food is served communally and Bunna also has an excellent cocktail and coffee program. Bring cash and all of your friends: Bunna is vegan and has gluten free options.

2) Brooklyn Cider House

There’s  always has something going on at the Bushwick Cidery and restaurant. From live music on the patio every Thursday to a special Basque Pintxos menu each Wednesday, you’ll want to pay a visit. Try a Cider Flight and the Korean wings and ask your server about cider catching. Visit if you’re attending events on Flushing or Wilson between the Morgan and Jefferson stops.

3) Grimm Ales

With many galleries near Grand Street and on Bushwick Ave, Grimm Ales is the perfect spot to unwind. The owners are artists (check out the light installation on the ceiling and the beautiful cans) dedicated to quality beer. They also offer healthy Middle Eastern bites in partnership with Samesa.

4) Skytown

If you’re attending events along Broadway, grab food and drinks at Skytown. They offer everything from brunch to a late night menu in a laid back setting. Try the $8 nachos or grab coffee and take advantage of their wifi.

5) Guadalupe Inn

Guadalupe Inn is right by many of the venues east of the Morgan Stop and it’s the perfect place to bring a group. There’s live music on Saturday nights and a great taco tuesday deal, plus fantastic versions of Mexican favorites, like tacos al pastor and chilaquiles from Chef Ivan Garcia. Don’t miss the margaritas.
