Your input is requested at a meeting about Bushwick’s future: Bushwick residents have teamed up with Brooklyn Community Board 4, the Department of City Planning and the offices of local city council members Antonio Reynoso and Rafael Espinal to develop a community based approach to balancing “the desire to create and preserve affordable housing with the need to preserve Bushwick’s character.”

A meeting this coming Monday night, June 20th, from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Ridgewood Bushwick Youth Center at 1474 Gates Avenue between Knickerbocker and Irving will provide locals with an opportunity to participate in a round table discussion about zoning and land use, housing, economic development, neighborhood resources, open space, transportation and infrastructure in Bushwick.

Translation between English and Spanish will be available throughout the meeting, snacks and refreshments will be served, and activities for children are planned.

Come out to listen, contribute, collaborate and help establish a set of planning priorities that address the manifold needs of the neighborhood!
