It feels like summer is HERE ! One of the best parts about the nice weather is being able to gather with friends and enjoy a cold drink in the warm sun, which is why Bushwick Daily is proud to present a list of some of the best places around Bushwick at which get your outdoor drinking on. While it’s hardly an exhaustive list, here are some great options, in no particular order. Cheers, Bushwick!
When one first walks in, this bar lives up to its name: a long narrow space, and that’s about it. Walk a little further back, and it opens up into a large and beautiful backyard where one can enjoy expertly crafted cocktails.
The ever-popular Three Diamond Door has a fantastic backyard that feels like a big party during peak hours and feels like an outdoor oasis when things are slower. You can’t go wrong either way!
Brand-spanking-new Talon bar has two entrances, one on Wyckoff and one around the corner on Menahan. Through this second entrance you first hit their patio, which is inspired by an English garden. The house will be setting up grills soon, too, so it’s basically a backyard barbecue party all summer long. Don’t miss their grand opening party this Friday!
Enjoy English pub grub and a pint in this picnic-table-laden outdoor area that is somehow somehow both right out on Troutman St, and delightfully secluded.
Dumplings! Booze! A Fire pit! All these things and more await at this little watering hole on Wyckoff Ave.
Bushwick’s first rooftop patio! If that alone isn’t enough of a draw, they do awesome events pretty much every week.
The Starliner, which opened early this year, has been a new neighborhood favorite off the Myrtle Wyckoff stop. Its recently debuted outdoor area is sure to add to this place’s already huge appeal. Bonus: enjoy a Twin Son’s Deli sandwich delivered directly to your seat.
The 16,00 square foot urban oasis which opened last June was a huge hit last summer, and will continue to be so this summer! Now with 24 beers on tap and free Monday movie nights, we can’t wait to see what else is in store for Nowadays.
Forest Point has arguably one of the coolest outdoor areas around! It has an adorable mix of furniture, fairy lights, and painted walls. Enjoy one of their great cocktails to the soothing sounds of Flushing Ave.
No frills watering hole Old Stanley’s features a back yard seating area big enough to comfortably accommodate a fairly big cree. Posing with the house’s custom “head in hole board” is optional, but hard to resist after a few rounds.
HappyFun’s hospitable back yard is in the process of expanding its offerings with the addition of a burger counter at a big green truck permanently stationed out there. Need we say more?
The high stucco walls of La Lupe’s back yard feature a revolving display of colorful, commissioned artworks, making it a perfect spot to soak up some sun while sipping one of the house’s potent margaritas (go for one of the spicy ones).
The verdant, shaded yard behind Bushwick’s first French bistro is a great spot for a special occasion. If you’re not sure which cocktail to go with, try the Golden Hour (domaine de canton, bourbon and lemon juice)—the perfect drink to sip while taking in the last rays of a sunny summer day.
The outdoor space behind picture perfect Bushwick Ave cocktail and small plates establishment The Topaz is a great spot to get some fresh air while working on one of the house’s signature cocktails. Come for the live music, stay for the open sky above your head.
Centrally located Bushwick mainstay Koda has the necessities of outdoor drinking down to a science—and just introduced a $5 margarita special. Sound good?
Happy Outdoor Drinking, Bushwick!
