Full Moon Market, Bushwick Book Club, and More Fantastic Events for Every Day of the Week!

With spring finally springing out of hibernation, it is only fair to expect that you’ll be feeling an event-going itch this week. But you don’t know what’s happening, you say?

Well, we’re glad you asked. There’s now a Bushwick Daily community events calendar where members of our community add their events, and this right here is your weekly day-by-day round up of the best ones!

Monday: Prison Rodeo

9 p.m. – 2 a.m., Aunt Ginny’s, 652 Woodward Ave, Ridgewood

Start your week with some honky tonk and country music at Ridgewood’s awesome bar, Aunt Ginny’s. And speaking of honky tonks, how can we not share this clip from the very excellent Netflix show, “Master of None”:

Tuesday: Make It Short (Film Screening)

7:30 – 9:30 p.m., Guadalupe Inn, 1 Knickerbocker Ave., East Williamsburg

If you’re having hard time waiting until October for Bushwick Film Festival to arrive, this Tuesday head to Guadalupe Inn for a screening of quirky, sweet, humorous, and sometimes flat-out weird short films from the BFF archives. Filmmakers will be present to take your questions and observations.

Wednesday: Taking Back Wednesdays

9 p.m. – 2 a.m., Precious Metal, 143 Troutman St., Bushwick

If you’re riding the nostalgia boat of emo hard, then this Wednesday is your night. Precious Metal promises an emo night that cries harder than all the others, drink specials and all.

Thursday: Bingo Night – Hosted By Michelle & Sen

7 – 11 p.m., The Bodega, 24 St Nicholas Ave., Bushwick

You don’t have to be an elderly lady named Lucille to be a bingo pro…or alternatively you can be a bingo-playing elderly lady named Lucille. Everything is allowed this Thursday at The Bodega. $3 to play!

Full Moon Market, Bushwick Book Club, and More Fantastic Events for Every Day of the Week!

Friday: Party for the People’s Climate March

8 p.m. – 2 a.m., Gold Sounds, 44 Wilson Ave., Bushwick

This party at the awesome Gold Sounds combines three things we love the most: DJs, comedians, and partying with a good cause in mind. Hosted by Brooklyn 350, this party aims to raise funds so that everyone can make it to People’s Climate March in DC on April 29.

Saturday: Full Moon Market

2 – 8 p.m., Precious Metal, 143 Troutman St., Bushwick

Technically the full moon isn’t until next Tuesday, but every good witch knows that certain prep is necessary beforehand. On Saturday afternoon head to Precious Metal to get your crystals, spells, and cauldrons! Free entry.

Saturday: Bushwick Book Club

8 – 10:30 p.m., Little Skips, 941 Willoughby Ave., Bushwick

We’re so excited that Bushwick Book Club is back in, well, Bushwick! Originally hosted at now closed Goodbye Blue Monday, Bushwick Book Club is a unique, literary crossover performance series that combines literature with music, food, and more. This Saturday night at Little Skips will be all about HOW TO MAKE WHITE PEOPLE LAUGH by Negin Farsad

Full Moon Market, Bushwick Book Club, and More Fantastic Events for Every Day of the Week!

Sunday: Community Kirtan

7 – 8:30 p.m., Loom Yoga Center, 1087 Flushing Ave., East Williamsburg

Sometimes all you need is to chant and dance your heart out before you throw yourself in the vortex of the new work week. One of Bushwick’s fave yoga studios, Loom Yoga Center, offers just that. Donation is $10.
