Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Tuesday that 22 alleged members of Blitz Gang 4 face a 97-count indictment for 11 shootings, a stabbing, and related attacks across Southeast Queens, according to AMNY. Across 17 total incidents, three people were wounded, including one man who is now paralyzed.
The violence ran from 2023 through earlier this year, per the AMNY report by Dean Moses. Fifteen of the 22 defendants are specifically charged with pulling triggers.
Blitz Gang 4 is a subset of the Bloods based out of the Baisley Park Houses in South Jamaica, according to AMNY. The gang’s central conflict was with rivals the Floss Money Ballers, and much of the recorded violence was directed at suspected members of that crew or other rival factions. A separate law enforcement takedown targeting Floss Money Ballers took place last year, according to the same report.
The violence intensified in September 2024 after 18-year-old Akim Cisse was shot and killed by Rayvon Philip, a reputed BG4 member, outside a Springfield Gardens McDonald’s, per the AMNY report citing the indictment.
Several of the alleged attacks took place in public locations. On Dec. 11, 2025, at around 12:15 p.m., four people stabbed a Floss Money Ballers member near the Queens courthouse immediately after he had appeared in court, according to court documents cited by AMNY. On March 30, 2026, at around 3:38 p.m., a 15-year-old was directed by an older gang member to open fire on a man suspected of belonging to the 5th Clocc gang outside a Cambria Heights McDonald’s, per the same report. A second gang member at the scene then allegedly tried to misdirect responding officers so he could collect bullet casings, according to AMNY.
“In total, these 17 incidents left three people wounded, including one man, who is now paralyzed. It is a sheer miracle that there were not additional injuries or fatalities in between these shootings. We recovered multiple weapons, including a ghost gun as a result of a search warrant and a car stop,” Katz said, as quoted by AMNY.
Of the 22 defendants, eight were arrested on June 25 by the NYPD, and nine were already incarcerated on separate charges at the time of the announcement, according to Katz as reported by AMNY. Eleven defendants were arraigned and remanded, six received high bail amounts, and three remain at large, Katz said. Each defendant faces a maximum sentence of 8 to 25 years in prison depending on their role in the offenses and their youthful offender status, per AMNY.
Katz said the operation was timed to the start of summer. “As summer begins, and schools wind down, our focus remains on removing the drivers of violence from our communities, from our streets, from the hands from our children to make sure that they are able to spend more time outdoors, more time with their families,” she said, per AMNY.
