Here’s our round-up of awesome Fourth of July events in the neighborhood! BBQ, beer, fireworks galore!

#1 Pig Roast @ Central Station (84 Central Ave) ($30)

Central Station might still be brand new, but it’s the spawn of some serious powerhouses from Fatty Cue. So you can trust them to roast a pig like there’s not higher calling on this earth. (And really, is there?!) They’ve got a pig box, a huge backyard, and a staff that is not only hella excited to be rocking it in Bushwick, but also knows exactly what they’re doing. Admission to their Fourth of July party includes All-You-Can-Eat BBQ, Kegs, DJ’s, Live Music, AND FIREWORKS!!!!! Party runs from 3:30 to 9:30 PM.

#2 Pig Roast & Kiddie Pools @ Montana’s Trail House (455 Troutman St) (Free Admission)

Montana’s Trail House opened during BOS, and they were immediately packed to the gills almost every night. And it’s not hard to see why: the place is gorgeous inside, and they’ve expertly cultivated the perfect vibe. Swing by the Trail House on the Fourth and dip your feet into a kiddie pool while you wait for the pig to come out of the pig box. Knock back a few Red-White-Blue Jello Shots until the have the courage to indulge in the cheap tattoos they’ll be giving out. And some of the beers will be $2, but naturally you are required by Trail House law to shotgun those.

#3 ‘Famous in Bushwick’ @ Tandem (236 Troutman St) (Free Admission)

After the last firework gets sent into space, take off your flip flops and put on your dancing shoes for a post-fireworks DJ dance party at everyone’s favorite place to get laid. After all, nothing says summer romance like undulating wildly across a laser spotted dance floor, sweat dripping through your chest hair/cleavage, and the smell of beer in your hair.

#4 Hot Dogs + Beer @ Your House (Cheap)

You work hard for your money! Just cause it’s like, Independence Day or whatever, doesn’t mean you can just open up an infinite bar tab. Grab a cheap eat, like a Venezuelan hot dog from Guacuco ($5), then swing by the bodega instead and pick up a 12 pack of PBR ($8.99). Find a roof and throw yourself a beer picnic and enjoy the lightshow.

#5 BBQ + DJs @ Secret Project Robot (389 Melrose St) ($5)

It’s five bucks to get in but for just five more dollars, you can enjoy a BBQ plate with both veggie and meat options, and house-made cornbread. Additionally, some ‘watermelon goodness’ will be provided, ‘for eating’ and of course, ‘sprinklers for cooling.’ But maybe it’s time you quit fighting the heat anyway. Embrace the thick drips of summer sweat and shake yo’ booty to DJ Ivan Sunshine and DJ Steve Shakewell and Highlife ∆.

#6 BBQ + Live Music + Burlesque @ Paper Box (17 Meadow St) ($5)

Live music from some stellar acts: G.R.A.M.Z. – 4 fun crew, Adrienne Mack-Davis w/ DJ NatureBoi, Albert & the SOLID GOOLD, Parnhashnakovsky, P.U.D.G.E., Rachel Burrell, Khasha Masha, Sav Killz, Villian$, Cocoa Bella, Ohene Cornelius, VV/LD TØR∇S, the OFFLIFT, and Mana. But that’s not all! They’ll also be shooting the video for Sav Killz Summer Time featuring Maya Azucena, so this is probably a pretty good opportunity to get a little famous.

#7 Jack Dept Dance Party @ Bossa Nova Civic Club (1271 Myrtle Ave)

Fill your belly with BBQ at one of these awesome BBQ parties, then swing to Bossa Nova and work every calorie out on the dancefloor. Grab a cocktail and lose yourself to the summer heat and the endless sway of sticky bodies.

#8 #Cherrybomb’s First Year Anniversary Party @ The Flat (308 Hooper St)

After you’re full on hot dogs and beer, come celebrate Cherrybomb Fridays 1 Year Anniversary while you absorb the sound sensations of Chad Dubz, Will Gates, Edward Askew, and Hot Mom USA guest DJs.

#9 Broke City Party @ Bizarre (12 Jefferson St) (Free)

bizarre

Come get weird at your favorite weird French bar, with some delightful performances by Copout and Jerry Jones. Meanwhile, Blacky II, Sinclair, HoneyComa and Dunes will be having a blast in the downstairs section of Bizarre. In other words: this is two parties for the geographical/temporal cost of one. Plus, they’re free.

#10 Burgers and BBQ @ Fritzl’s Lunch Box (173 Irving Ave)

Everyone’s most beloved Lunch Box is throwing a Fourth of July BBQ Party, and they’ll be pulling out all the stops, including an Independence day menu that will knock your socks off. Fried chicken, pork ribs, a more classical version of their signature burger, and pitchers of their fine, fine house-made sangria. And get this: just ask to ‘Americanize’ anything on the menu, and they’ll put bacon on it for $4.
