In even more celebrity music news, Nicki Minaj, one of hip hop’s most polarizing figures, made a surprise appearance in Bushwick as part of what was described by Minaj herself and The Daily Mail as a “secret shoot.”
An anonymous source close to the production tells Bushwick Daily that the overnight shoot ran from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. on June 21 at LightSpace Studios and was scheduled at the last minute.
Minaj posted several shots and videos to her personal Instagram account as part of a promotional blitz, reminding fans that she had two new songs coming out on DJ Khaled’s newest album “Grateful.”
The star wore a kind of updated and pared down toga and thigh-high lace-up sandals. The video itself made an appearance behind 2 Chainz as he performed at the first ever NBA Awards, hosted by Drake, yesterday. You can see the results below:
