Pizza and Beer Picnic, Anyone? With New Tavern License, Norbert’s Will Serve Both Slices and Brews

Care to crack open a cold one while enjoying a slice of pizza fresh from the oven, Bushwick?

Norbert’s pizza has acquired a license for serving beer and wine at the pizzeria’s Flushing Avenue location, management told Bushwick Daily this week.

Details about which new beverages that will be on offer are still forthcoming, but patrons can expect to find affordable bar staples available for pairing with the spot’s classic, simple pies when the new drinks menu launches next week.

Back in February when the new shop opened, Norbert’s representatives told Bushwick Daily that the site’s vast back yard seemed perfect for picnic tables and possibly a volleyball court. Now that the tavern license is secured, hosting events such as movie screenings in the outdoor space seems like a natural course of events.

The pizzeria is located at 791 Flushing Ave, between Broadway and Humboldt Street. It is open daily from 2pm-midnight, and pizza orders can be placed at 718.576.3612. Visit the Norbert’s website at norbertspizza.com.
