Recognize that storefront? The dry cleaners down the block from Old Stanley’s? If you’ve walked down Wyckoff by Menahan recently, you might have noticed that that dry cleaners is no longer there. Very soon, new watering hole Talon Bar will take its place and it’s shaping up to be an amazing new spot for drinking and dining away balmy spring and summer evenings.
The entrance to the interior is in a front yard, rather than an oft iterated backyard setup. The basement is a speakeasy style room: during Prohibition in the 1920s this place actually was a bar, so it is really just a return to form.
The owners are putting the finishing touches on the renovation so you can expect Talon Bar to open in the next few weeks, just in time for warmer weather in order to fully utilize the gorgeous outdoor space.
