Central Station, a train-station-inspired gastropub at 84 Central Ave, will immediately win your heart thanks to their casual vibe where everybody feels comfortable. Add their excellent food and a great cocktail menu, and you found yourself a neighborhood favorite.

We could rave on and on about their huge backyard where they roast pigs during the summer or their TV screens that allow you to catch up on Sunday night football or a non-sensical presidential debate, but first and foremost, the praise must be given to the staff and how friendly and kind they are.

As far as the food goes, the owners are extremely proud of their chicken wings (and rightfully so). Try them and thank us later. Central Station offers also a number of farm-to-table American small plates.

In the summer Central Station is planning to have their walls painted in their yard as well as in their dining room. (Perhaps a good time to pitch your skills to the owners, artists?)

Central Station is an unassuming place but the more rewarding you will find it when you get to know it better.

The famous chicken wings.
