Attention Bushwick Vietnamese food lovers! We have a newcomer on the scene!
Lucy’s Vietnamese Kitchen located, “In the heart of Bushwick” at 262 Irving Avenue right next to Boobie Trap and across the street from Pizza Party is having a sneak peak opening this Sunday, March 15 from 3PM to 6PM. Prices will be reduced for that day. To attend, please RSVP at LucysKitchenNY[AT]gmail.com. A limited menu of banh mi and pho will be served.
Lucy’s Vietnamese Kitchen is led by head chef Johnny Huynh who will bring fresh, delicious food to the neighborhood, in which he was born and raised. Huynh has honed his skills through years of working in Lower East Side kitchens and as well as at Smorgasburg. Mr Huynh is now opening his first restaurant and naming it after the woman who raised him — his grandmother, Lucy.
Lucy’s menu consists of Pho, Bun, Goi Cuon, and my personal favorite Banh Mi – those scrumptious baguette sandwiches. “The Classic” will be served with Vietnamese ham, smoked head cheese, house pate, pickled carrots and daikon. All sandwiches are topped off with jalapeño, cucumber, cilantro, and a house aioli. And the dopest thing about it all – it’s reasonably priced, an average entree rounding out to about $9. Vegans to carnivores have plenty to choose from. The restaurant is admittedly small and will be focusing on delivery and takeout.
Lucy’s will be open until 2am for all you night owls.
