Last year Scott McGibney, the owner of The Wycoff Starr Cafe and Anna D’Agrosa decided to open a cozy cafe/restaurant at the corner of Irving and Jefferson. Cafe Ghia has an inventive menu dedicated to locally produced and sustainable sources, with a range of choices for both vegans and steak lovers. We should mention that the steak was perfectly prepared with a sublime demi-glaze, perched on a bed of rustic smashed potatoes while not one, but two chefs stepped back to admire their creation. The Big Salad we had, included a delicate balance of wild forest mushrooms, roasted vegetables, mixed nuts and a light dressing, combining all of the flavors together into what could be described as perfect mixed greens flecked with little gems. I should also mention that the Brunch menu just makes you feel good, every food item seems to be hand picked and scrutinized before it ends up on your plate. We sort of want everything on the menu, and then do it all over….
