Banish your Monday night blues with an all-female variety show tonight at The Cobra Club in Bushwick. Am I Write, Ladies?: EAT YOUR WORDS is the fourth installment of recurring show Am I Write, Ladies?, a variety showcase of new and developing live art by women artists created by Cassidy Dawn Graves. “AIWL creates a safe yet well-curated space where women artists working in all sort of disciplines can experiment and try new things, as well as meet new artists and friends,” says Graves.

At tonight’s shows, all the acts are centered around the theme of food and eating (just in time for Thanksgiving). “We’ve got sandwich soliloquys, artichoke love songs, Japanese lunch anthems, succulent stand-up, Streisand burlesque, a play set in a Blockbuster, and many more tasty tidbits. Featuring work by Meghan Hourigan, Frankie P, Caitlin Cobb-Vialet, Nikki Vega, Lyndsey Bourne, Annie Pardoe, Futaba Shioda, Amy King, Took Edalow as Barbra Bitch, Hannah Kallenbach, and Cassidy Dawn Graves. Acclaimed playwright Jaclyn Backhaus will be doing a Q&A as well,” says Graves.
