If you prefer your Bushwick all smudgy as seen from the back of a strong motorcycle, we have a great news for you. Not only you can eat some badass motorcycle BBQ, you can now store your machine and work on it with other riders, right here in Bushwick.
A motorcycle garage, Roll Up Brooklyn is opening on 382 Jefferson St. in Bushwick on May 1. A Bushwick resident of seven years, Martin Diegelman, who co-owns Roll Up Brooklyn with his two partners, Josh Dion and Erick Fletes, explained that many riders who own their bikes often don’t have the necessary space, and Roll Up Brooklyn will provide that.
“We also have a community environment and have rides, monthly bbqs and the garage kind of doubles as a front porch. We have relationships with the motorcycle related vendors that riders often need and we offer discounts to our preferred vendors,” Martin emailed us.
The great kick off party of Roll Up Brooklyn will happen during Bushwick Open Studios (June 5-7). “We’re pushing all the bikes to the curb and having 15+ artists exhibit work, plus three amazing bands from Brooklyn, DC and Montreal; free beer from Six Point, free Gin from Hendricks, food from Little Mo’s, free ginger ale from Bruce Cost, and more.”
Sounds awesome!
