Norte Maar has become one of the key terms for arts in Bushwick over the years. This 501(c)3 non-profit organization was established in 2007 by curator Jason Andrew and choreographer Julia Gleich. The organization operates in the very Bushwick, DYI fashion from Jason Andrew’s apartment/art space. Norte Maar has been regularly putting up the art shows, creating dance performances, organizing literary events, and supporting collaboration and inspiration across the creative disciplines.
