The two Brooklyn shows kick off a stint of large-scale performances around the US, including two in Miami (9/23 and 9/24) and one in Los Angeles on 9/29, the date their 4th studio album, Reflektor, goes on sale. The 7-piece has quietly been releasing teaser videos on their Facebook page while making a large underground media push with posters, graffiti, and interactive videos surrounding the release of their excellent “Reflektor” video last month. They made a mysterious appearance on SNL last weekend, premiering a shimmering new song, “Afterlife.” Like their other performances, it shone some light into their new album and sound (which is tastefully tropical and discoey), but in total was a teaser… or as they might say, “it was just a reflektor.”
The venue where this promisingly epic show will take place is where some of you may have partied last New Years Eve with Bang On!, or where you stopped by Bushwick Daily’s own Bushwick Open Studios launch. The space is 25,000 square feet of sprawling warehouse, and it is awesome. Trust us on this.
We’ll be covering the event this Friday (and may even be sitting down with the band!) and would love if we could get as many of you Brooklyn locals in the venue as possible. Want to guarantee a ticket? Pre-order their record online and be granted with a pre-sale code that will allow you to buy a ticket starting at 10 am tomorrow. UPDATE: ONLY ORDERS PLACES BEFORE 9 AM YESTERDAY INCLUDE A PROMO CODE FOR EARLY TICKET BUYING. BUMMER.. Directly from their website: So, the way to go is going to be showing up at Ticketmaster’s page Thursday at 12 pm to have an internet duel and your chance at a ticket to one of the very exclusive shows this weekend.
