The FDNY put out a small kitchen fire following a report of smoke in a five story East Williamsburg mixed use residential building early Sunday morning, officials say.

Fire Department officials tell Bushwick Daily that the call about the fire on the third floor of 595 Metropolitan Avenue (at Lorimer Street) came in at 4:06am, and that the first responding unit was on scene three minutes later.
