Bushwick is getting an indoor cycling studio this spring, and it’s just a short walk from that new Starbucks in the Fat Albert building.

Outbreak Fitness, a Brooklyn-based chain of gyms, will open its first fifth multi-purpose gym and first dedicated cycling studio, Outbreak Cycling, at 1000 Broadway on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy in late spring.

The gym spans 4,500 square feet and will include a 3,800-square-foot open layout for group classes and gymnastics, a cycling studio with 45 bikes, and a cafe.

According to a spokesperson, Outbreak Fitness’s expansion into Bushwick follows the success of the chain’s four CrossFit Outbreak boxes in East Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Clinton Hill, and Bed-Stuy.

“The new fitness center will build upon the community collaborations established with our most recent addition, Bed-Stuy,” said an Outbreak Fitness spokesperson.

Some of those collaborations include a newly launched aerial yoga class with NamaStuy yoga collective and a fitness class set to the music of a live DJ on Friday night.

The gym is currently offering The Bushwick Founder’s Special, a discounted membership that costs $185 per month and includes access to all five Outbreak Fitness locations.
