No more schlepping to Williamsburg or Greenpoint for a night of bowling. No more hopping between three or four places a night to get a great social, dining, and beverage experience. Punch Bowl Social is promising to fulfill all three needs under one (giant) roof by the fall of 2017.

The Real Deal has announced this morning that a massive, gaming, dining and drinking concept, Punch Bowl Social is coming to Bushwick. This Denver-based company with six other locations across the country—they opened a location just this past week in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago as well—is renting two interconnected industrial properties at 199 Starr St. and 350 Troutman St. They will develop 20,000 square feet of indoor space as well as 10,000 square feet of roof deck space.

“We will provide everything from a great culinary and craft cocktail experience to vintage games—all in a large area with DJs on certain nights,” Richard Flaherty, the EVP of Operations for Punch Bowl Social, told us.

The complex will be located between Green Street Salads and The Bushwick Starr, and you can look forward to eight to ten bowling alleys, three private karaoke rooms—each holding eight to 25 people, ping pong, foosball tables, skee-ball and vintage arcade games such as Pacman and Centipede.

The venue will have several bars, the most prominent of them will be a 360° bar with an antler chandelier above it. The Bushwick location will feature an apres-ski styled lounge, the Holiday Lodge, and a giant wall-mounted Scrabble board.

The company’s founder and CEO, Robert Thompson, who created the concept three years ago, characterizes the style as “Dirty Modern,” combining the industrial feel of exposed brick and plumbing with a modern as well as vintage feel.

Punch Bowl Social is considering having a 24-hour diner depending on the needs of the Bushwick community.

Together with a huge MetroRock Climbing facility, which is set to open nearby in late spring of 2016, it appears that Bushwick’s Starr Street will soon turn into an entertainment corridor.
