Another new apartment building will soon sprout from the fertile real-estate grounds of Bushwick.
A narrow, empty lot at 61 Troutman St. will become a 45-foot-tall apartment building with eight units, balconies facing the street, and a black-brick facade in a herringbone pattern with gold accents around the windows, YIMBY first reported.
The site is a few blocks away from the Myrtle Avenue subway station on the JMZ line and will be neighbored by buildings constructed in 2012 and 1931. Both 59 and 63 Troutman St. rent two-bedroom units for around $2,500 per month, so while we don’t yet know how much units at the new building will cost, we can be fairly certain they will be more expensive than its neighbors.
Brooklyn-based developer Moshe Friedman is leading the project and the BEAM Group is doing the design. A completion date hasn’t been announced.
