Cops are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a teenaged girl by touching her inappropriately on the L train during rush hour last week.

The suspect approached the 16-year-old girl from behind as the Manhattan-bound L train was arriving at DeKalb Avenue station around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, police say.

The man then reportedly began touching the victim’s behind. The teen confronted him and took these pictures with her cell phone before the suspect ran off the train at the DeKalb station.

Police say the man is between 25-35 years-old and was last seen wearing a dark-blue hooded sweatshirt.

The crime, known as forcible touching, is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 1 year in jail. If the victim is under 18, a convicted person must register as a sex offender.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. You can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website.
