The Glove, a DIY venue in Bushwick geared toward musicians and performers who push the boundaries of traditional performance, will house The Exponential Festival for eight art performances over their multi-venue month long theatre festival. Catch shows Jan. 21 through Jan. 25 and Jan. 28 through Jan. 31.

Now in its fourth year, The Exponential Festival is the only month-long festival that is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive space showcasing New York City-based emerging artists working in experimental performance. The festival’s goal is to create a multi-faceted and divergent experience. As they state on their press release, “Exponential is driven by inclusiveness and a diversity of artists, forms, and ideas coupled with utopian resource-sharing, mentoring and the championing of risky, rigorous work in eclectic fields to keep theatre kicking.”

Over the course of the eight performance dates at The Glove, four of them will be showing shorter performances by distinguished performing artists. Showcase I & II feature Patrick Scorese, Tinuade Oyelowo, and Ethan Gould. Showcase III & IV will feature Rebecca Posner, Annie Horner, and José Rivera Jr., Showcase I and III will feature Adam Endres, and Showcase II & IV will feature Cristina Pitter & Serena Miller. In addition, two plays will play for two days each: “AMERICANA PSYCHOBABBLE” by Alexandra Tatarsky and “Sex in Mechanicalville” by Sally Horowitz.

“AMERICANA PSYCHOBABBLE” is playing January 23rd and 24th.

“Sex in Mechanicalville” is playing Jan. 30 and Jan 31. Reservations are available here.
