Happy Monday, Bushwick.

The weekends are never long enough, so that’s why we’ve listed a whole workweek of free and cheap events happening in the neighborhood.

And as always, snap some pics at one of the events below, tag Bushwick Daily on Instagram, and let us show the digital world how awesome your life really is!

Monday: live jazz

10 p.m. at Father Knows Best, 611 Wilson Ave.

Free live jazz every Monday. Bring your instrument, and depending on the night, it turns into a jazzy jam session! Dream big; play local.

Tuesday: free Movie night

8:30-11:59 p.m. at Sunrise/Sunset, 351 Evergreen Ave.

What’s better than an intimate night of watching beloved films at a local bar with no cover charge? “A Mighty Wind” is playing at 8:30 and “Selena” at 10:30. Beers on tap, biodynamic wines, and small batch spirits are available, and the dinner menu served until 11 p.m.

?Wednesday: Rope Bite bondage class

6:45-11 p.m. at Hacienda Villa (Near JMZ trains. Exact location provided upon RSVP)

Come to this monthly rope bondage skill share and practice space for beginners, experts, and anyone curious about being tied up. Bring some rope (or some snacks) and work on your skills with new friends. Guests who RSVP are guaranteed entry if the event reaches capacity, but there may still be space at the door. Entrance is $10. Click here for more information on Hacienda Studio events.

Thursday: Music at the Silent Barn

12 a.m. at The Silent Barn, 603 Bushwick Ave.

This might be one of your last chances to check out live music at this beloved DIY space before it shuts down in late April. Alecks, Patti, No Swoon, and Erostratus will be performing. Tickets cost $8. All ages welcome.

Friday: Dimensions of Alterity

7-10 p.m. at Paradice Palace, 1263 Bushwick Ave.

“Dimensions of Alterity” is a group show that explores the historic and contemporary depictions of the grotesque and carnivalesque body. The opening reception promises to be witchy on this Friday the 13th, with temporary tattoos, a costume contest, 13th-century cave music, and even live chimeras.
