We love a good, local success story here at Bushwick Daily, and today, we get to happily report that East Williamsburg’s Livestream announced they are partnering up with Vimeo to bring their live video streaming tools to more people.

Patch reports that Vimeo and Livestream announced the sale on Tuesday, the biggest in Vimeo’s history.

Livestream’s CEO and co-founder, Mark Kornfilt, shared details in a blog post on the company’s website. He says: “There is significant overlap in the mission and strategies of Livestream and Vimeo: our relentless focus on enabling professional-quality video streaming, building easy-to-use yet powerful end-to-end video workflows, and empowering creators with the best tools to monetize and distribute their content.”

Livestream already works with a slew of big-name companies like Nike, Tesla, and the New York Times to deliver live video to their customers, and this upcoming sale won’t affect their operations day-to-day for some time, Kornfilt says.

Let’s hope they keep their current offices at 195 Morgan Ave. and the event space, Livestream Public which has hosted everything from Ted talks to Jared Leto’s acoustic sets.
