Even if the weather hasn’t gotten the memo about it being summer in Bushwick yet, the events sure are marking the season for us with dance parties, pig roasts, and outdoor festivals everywhere you turn.
On Saturday, June 17, The Well’s huge and sunny backyard will play host to DJ sets by some of indie rock’s favorite acts, Toro Y Moi and Museum of Love.
Toro Y Moi is the moniker for Chaz Bundick, a multi-instrumentalist famous for some genre-bending and danceable hits. Popgun describes Toro Y Moi’s output “as prolific as [it] is diverse.”
He might be best known for this chillwave earworm, which has the ignoble honor of having been featured in “Entourage”:
Museum of Love is a newer outfit combining the skills of Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem) and Dennis McNany (Jee Day). Their live performance at Panorama last year took place in a dark tent in the middle of the afternoon, a perfect setting for some of their more atmospheric tracks.
Openers include Sejva and Alex Pasternak to round out the whole day event where you’ll be able to get a little day drunk and bask in the mid-June sunlight.
Tickets are available here ($20-$25). See you bright and early at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17!
