On Saturday babes from every borough gathered under blue skies to celebrate summertime in Bushwick. The sixth annual Bushwick Block Party, hosted by The Bushwick Collective, boasted an all-day line up of performers and served as a magnet for trendsetting artists, movers, and shakers throughout our community. Flamboyant style and colorful outfits were in full bloom, showing a contrast to the stereotypical blacks and greys of NYC fashion. On site was photographer Darragh Dandurand capturing the best looks of the day.
With power and grace, she wears African-inspired garb while letting that handmade flag fly!
We had to stop this beautiful couple and get a pic! Her baby-glow is so obvious, and his muted pallet has her bright orange dress just poppin’!
With a smile that wide and hair that green, who wouldn’t want to take her photo?! We love her love of bright colors and big shades!
We couldn’t help but stop this trendsetter for a photo! Her pink and blue tutu was to die for (and she matched it perfectly to her scooter – nice!). We know a lot of divas who would kill for this festival look!
How cute can you get with an expression like that? This sk8er boi showed off dye tones and big crystals around the neck.

Bushwick may be synonymous with street art and its thriving DIY scene, but a burgeoning theater movement is quietly taking root in the neighborhood....
