On Saturday babes from every borough gathered under blue skies to celebrate summertime in Bushwick. The sixth annual Bushwick Block Party, hosted by The Bushwick Collective, boasted an all-day line up of performers and served as a magnet for trendsetting artists, movers, and shakers throughout our community. Flamboyant style and colorful outfits were in full bloom, showing a contrast to the stereotypical blacks and greys of NYC fashion. On site was photographer Darragh Dandurand capturing the best looks of the day.
With power and grace, she wears African-inspired garb while letting that handmade flag fly!
We had to stop this beautiful couple and get a pic! Her baby-glow is so obvious, and his muted pallet has her bright orange dress just poppin’!
With a smile that wide and hair that green, who wouldn’t want to take her photo?! We love her love of bright colors and big shades!
We couldn’t help but stop this trendsetter for a photo! Her pink and blue tutu was to die for (and she matched it perfectly to her scooter – nice!). We know a lot of divas who would kill for this festival look!
How cute can you get with an expression like that? This sk8er boi showed off dye tones and big crystals around the neck.

It’s easy to see the draw of this colorful pattern, especially when paired with more neutral black jeans. More importantly, look at that camera!
I bet they get compliments all around the world with a shirt like that! Loving the pop of turquoise bangs paired perfectly with those pink shades.
Ready for a pool party? Check! Ready for the weather to drop below 60 degrees the moment the sun drops, too? You know it!
#5 – She’s got the ‘tude, and she’s not afraid to show it! The shoes are to die for…
Her statement necklace really stands out. The whole look is definitely cool, especially when worn on such a beautiful babe!
That’s a happy boy! Let’s just say his style is somewhere between #tropicalgoth and #beachbabe.
#truebushwick right here! With layers of demin, faded or not, his overalls look great under that jacket.
World’s most serious couple (of friends?) looked edgy in black and silver with different textures between their styles.
Although stern, he had great style. Covered in ink and handmade jewelry, this Brooklyn cowboy showed off his fixie.
Blue on blue on blue! This guy looked great in his cowboy hat, flashing those pearly whites!
Between the purple board, the detailed patterns, the styled hair, and the great accessories, their super sweet personalities were the best items to wear!
This birthday boy rocked pink stripes in this button-down get-up. With blue-tints on his glasses and an “I <3 NY” t-shirt, he look super fly and super comfortable.
The Fresh Prince would be proud! This guy looks the coolest and oh, does he know how to pose!
This cute couple is keeping it comfy and simple in basic patterns and solids. We love her smile!
Zippers for daysssss. With style like this, you know not to mess! The matching industrial rings and piercings looked great together, not to mention that fantastic spiky hair!
Shoe-game on high. Her lace shirt and his tee shows how much you can mix up pairing a closet with sneaks!
This ridiculously awesome look is totally #inspiration. Everything about it is stylish, but super functional! We dig the board. And, of course, that great hair!
Between dance moves we got this beautiful portrait! How about those cheek bones, though? We love the bright green shades and perfect braids!
Additional thanks to Austin Archer for being our style muses’ human backdrop!
