“Law and Order: SVU” is a show we all know even if we haven’t actually watched it in years. The original series is perhaps one of the most popular police procedurals, at least in recent decades. And yesterday, the show’s cast and crew ventured out to Ridgewood to film scenes.

According to photos from property management company, From the Neighborhood, at least part of the scenes were filmed at 68th Avenue and Fresh Pond Road.

Of course, Ridgewood and Bushwick are no strangers to film shoots taking over whole blocks of the neighborhood for whole days and nights, but it’s still exciting to see the streets we know and love serving as backdrops for stories we see on television and the silver screen.

In its 18th season, “Law & Order: SVU” is the fourth longest running television show currently on air. The show airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC. Let us know if you can spot the neighborhood in coming episodes!
