The New York Porn Festival Departs Bushwick for East Williamsburg in Its Second Year

New York City’s premier porn festival, which launched last year at Bushwick’s Secret Project Robot, will hold its second annual event during the first weekend in June at a new space in East Williamsburg.

The festival, which gained visibility last year when rumors that Miley Cyrus had personally submitted a film went viral, was well attended enough during its inaugural season that the organizers recognized the need for a space larger than the intimate DIY venue on Bushwick’s Melrose Street.

They have opted to hold this year’s event in a 3,500 square foot warehouse space at 315 Ten Eyck Street in East Williamsburg.

A schedule of more than 20 events will be presented between 11am on Saturday, June 4th and the night of Sunday, June 5th. Several exhibits will be up throughout the weekend, including the worldwide premier of PornHub’s virtual reality technology.

Notable offerings among the program include a screening of the socially engaged 69-minute “psychosexual film” Community Action Center, and a presentation by the organization MakeLoveNotPorn.

The fest, which is sponsored by the pornographic video sharing website PornHub,  is the brainchild of Simon Leahy, who also founded neighborhood drag fest Bushwig.

An all-access pass to the festival costs $89, and tickets to individual programs cost $12 apiece; both can be purchased here, and neither can be used without a valid ID certifying that the ticketholder is at least 21.

The NYC Porn Film Festival will take place on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th at 315 Ten Eyck St between Waterbury St and Bogart St in East Williamsburg off of the Grand stop on the L train. Additional schedule details are available on the festival’s website.
