A Salvation Army thrift store will soon open its doors to the Bushwick public right beneath the tracks of Myrtle Ave-Broadway, Salvation Army sources confirmed for Bushwick Daily.

The shop, which will sell second hand clothing and accept donations, is scheduled to open at the beginning of May.

It will be located at 937 Broadway between Myrtle Ave and Melrose St., next to Broadway Wines and Liquors.

The new shop may well curb Bushwick’s chronic illegal donation bin woes; This is North Brooklyn’s first new Salvation Army shop since a Greenpoint location closed last fall, though the international organization runs a Worship and Community Center on Bushwick Ave at Putnam street.
