TGIF: Arts in Bushwick Gets Personal

This week’s TGIF continues the Arts in Bushwick‘s coverage of neighborhood goings-on. The ninth annual Bushwick Open Studios isn’t here yet (you have to wait until June for that), but people in Bushwick are still getting their art on.

Come sign up for BOS15 or just to meet your neighbors at the next Bushwick Open Studios mixer on May 9th, 1 PM to 3 PM, at Bizarre.

Artist Karen Schwartz depicted gripping inner lives in her solo exhibit Life on Mars. A professional therapist, Schwartz showcases an evocative array of emotions on the canvas, delving deeply into her own life in an extremely personal way.

The Arts in Bushwick site has undergone a makeover courtesy of Misfit Media. Perks include an easier registration process for artists, more visibility for Community Projects, and a brand new home for the Arts in Bushwick blog, which covers art events year-round.

Are you interested in contributing to the Arts in Bushwick Blog? We are looking for writers and photographers who are interested in collaborating with our team to create dynamic, in-depth, and original content. Email [email protected] for more information.
