Summer Magic in a Park: Catch Last Dance Socrates This Saturday
dance at socrates

Throughout 10 years of their existence Norte Maar, a Bushwick-based non-profit organization has been involved in a number of multidisciplinary art happenings. Dance at Socrates is their second year of choreographic residency and performance series presented in partnership with Socrates Sculpture Park.

This coming Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 4pm, the proud co-founders of Norte Maar, Jason Andrew and Julia Gleich will present the last performance featuring dance company Brooklyn Ballet and Dylan Crossman with Molissa Fenley and Paz Tanjuaquio / Topaz Arts.

So if you’re like me (totally determined to enjoy the summer while it lasts) just hop on a bike and take a ride to Long Island City. A totally unique summer only outdoor site-specific dance experience awaits!

PS: It’s free!

PS2: It’s also Jason Andrew’s birthday, so come and celebrate!
