Thanksgiving is just around the corner. And while you’re preparing to stuff turkey in your face, we’ve found some music to stuff in your ears! Here’s this week’s roundup of shows including a local benefit, free shows, dance parties, a star-studded Lou Reed tribute, and more.

 

#10 Chrome Sparks, Infinity Shred, Alex Burkat @285 Kent (THUR 8 PM, $10 advance/$12 door)

If you’re looking to spend your Thursday night grooving to some chill electronic music, look no further! Chrome Sparks will be dishing out some ice-old tunes, Infinity Shred will be opening the show with an abundance of 8-bit beats, and Alex Burkat will be DJing all night with the intention of making you move!

#9 Celestial Shore, Banned Books, Laser Background & Zula @ Shea Stadium (FRI 9PM, $8)

Celestial Shore will transport you to another plane of existence. Go see ’em with a lineup of excellent support.

 



#8 Wet @ Mercury Lounge (THUR 7PM, $10)

We’ve been behind Wet since day 1 and are so excited to see them headline their own show before they embark on a slew of tour dates. Check ’em out in this early show.

 

#7 Computer Magic, White Gallery, Larry Gus @ Baby’s All Right (THUR 8PM, $10)

Brooklyn synth-pop and retro dance party done right.

#6 Jose James, FaltyDL @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (FRI 8PM, $22)

Start the night with some four-on-the-floor electronic. End it with some soulful jazz.

#5 Gavin Russom (DJ Set) @ Little Skips Fall Art Auction and Fundraiser (FRI 7PM, FREE)

Come out to support a charity in Nepal, bid on some art, AND dance your ass off.

 

#4 Special Guests, Ski Lodge, Cool Serbia, More @ The End (SAT 9 PM, $8)

We’re going to have to keep you in the dark about these special guests BUT this show premieres a brand new space/venue off the Morgan L stop. Head over to 94 Bogart street for a Bushwick rager!

#3 Free the Drones: Grand Opening of The Black Box @ Bizarre (FRI thru SAT 10PM, FREE)

Local haunt summons up a two-night celebration of a new dance space with sets from Nutritious, Beckwith, Sam Walker and Commodore.

#2 Crocodiles, Wymond Miles, Young Boys @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (SAT 8PM, $15)

Swirling guitar music from the duo Crocodiles, with opening sets by shoegazey Wymond Miles and the garage-droning Young Boys.

#1 A Concert in Memory of Lou Reed @ The Bowery Electric (SUN 7PM, $20)
