Hot sun, factories, endless concrete… Summer in our part of the universe (read: Bushwick, East Williamsburg and Ridgewood) can be trying. Luckily for us, there is an ice cold drink, a rooftop breeze and a lush green meadow surrounding Onderdonk Farm House which make it all worth it.

“Onderdonk Farm House?” you’re probably asking right now if you’re new to this area (or if you live under a  rock). And we have to tell you: “Yes, a freakin’ lovely farm house!” Located literally among the factories of Flushing Ave and Troutman St (art building 17-17 Troutman is a neighbor) lies a little farm, discovery of which sometimes feels like a little miracle, or like a fata morgana in a desert.

This little farm has a lot of history, and for the past three years it has also served as a home to Out in the Streets music festival presented by The Sky Report, BirdDog Promo and Supercrush Studio.

Last year over the course of two days, Out in the Streets married a line up of awesome bands (A Place To Bury Strangers, Hunters, Body Language, Cities Aviv, Honduras,…) with local art and food featuring several local vendors. Without the unnecessary crowds, just on a blanket, we enjoyed awesome Brooklyn bands in an idyllic setting.

This year, Out in the Streets is back at Onderdonk House on August 1 and 2, and lineup is perhaps even better than last year. Furthermore, popular Ridgewood Market will be joining the festival allowing us to stroll through number of seductively cute items created by local artisans.

Line Up:

Saturday

Mr Twin Sister

Total Slacker

Wild Yaks // Love As Laughter

Stranger Cat // Salt Cathedral

Balancer // Lushes // Spirit Plate // Haybaby

A Bunch of Dead People // Sunset Images

Sunday

The Love Supreme

Terror Pigeon

Air Waves // Heliotropes // Spritzer

KDH // Twin Strike // Oliver Ralli
