Happy 'Drinko' de Mayo: 5 Delicious & Cheap Margaritas in Bushwick Today

Let's not fool ourselves

Let's not fool ourselves. Cinco de Mayo is not exactly a big deal in Mexico (except for the state of Puebla where the holiday is called El Día de la Batalla de Puebla or The Day of the Battle of Puebla). Cinco de Mayo is, however, widely celebrated in the United States primarily by Mexican Americans and by their friends who swear by everything Mexican (guilty as charged). And honestly, what better place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo then Bushwick? We can all come together as a big family and have a delicious Margarita from one of these fine establishments.

Do you know of some other great Margarita/tequila specials? Leave us a comment!

Also after all that drinking don't forget to eat some good Mexican food.

#1 Bizarre (12 Jefferson St., Bushwick): Bizarre will ensure a truly bizarre Cinco de Mayo for everyone who does their happy hour, which lasts whole day today: $4 margaritas, $4 pilsner pint, $3 Tecate. Repeat.

#2 Roberta's (261 Moore St, E. Williamsburg): Roberta's is going all out for Cinco De Mayo. Head on over for tacos, mariachi, live DJ, frozen margaritas, free Jello shots and beer+shot drink specials!

#3 La Taqueria Gringa (800 Grand St, E. Williamsburg): At Taqueria Gringa you can eat yummy Mexican food, and drink it down with free margarita (comes with purchase of $10 and higher).

#4 La Lupe (9 Jefferson St, Bushwick): La Lupe is perhaps our fave Mexican eatery of the moment. Besides always delish food, they have $5 Margaritas and $5 Mexicali & tequila shot special. You can consume everything abundantly on their backyard! #tipsy

#5 La Mesa Azteca (91 Wyckoff Ave, Bushwick): Oh, La Mesa Azteca, you stole Bushwick's heart long time ago, and to your delicious burritos, we cannot say no ever. In addition to all the Mexican orgasmic food, they'll be pouring $4 frozen margaritas from 4pm to 7pm, and they will have a DJ tonight. PS: the backyard is open too!
