UPDATED: NYC Protest Schedule for Today, Wednesday June 24, 2020

A breakdown of today's events.

Megan Burney

More protests are happening throughout the city today including a new movement to Occupy City Hall.  Protestors spent their first night camped out at City Hall last night making the demands of their occupation clear: defund the NYPD.  There is strength in numbers and the movement needs more bodies onsite, so consider taking your signs down to City Hall today!  (Follow @occupycityhall for updates).  And if you're still unable to join in-person demonstrations, consider the various way you can contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement from your home.  Since we're official in Phase Two of reopening NYC, consider grabbing your first meal out at one of these black-owned restaurants in Bushwick.

Bushwick Daily is dedicated to amplifying the voices of change, but we need your help to do so.  Help us to continue covering local news and grassroots movements by emailing tips and protest information here and becoming a monthly subscriber.  We cannot do this without you!
