The biggest event to come to Bushwick-Ridgewood since Bushwick Open Studios is happening this weekend. For the fourth year in a row, drag kweens and kings will descend upon our dwellings to celebrate, life, love, and the pursuit of drag. Yes, ladies and gentleman, Bushwig is back.

The annual drag fest makes its new home at the Onderdonk House in Ridgewood to accommodate the growing number of drag queens and attendees. Co-founded by drag artists Horrorchata and Babes Trust, the two-day festival has grown from roughly 30 performers in its first year to what is expected to be over 150.

Along with over 20 live performances, audience members will have a chance to check out clothing for sale by various vendors; purchase food, beer and wine; and view artwork on display. Day passes are available for $30 each; a weekend ticket will cost $40.

The festivities begin Friday night when Mz. Bushwig 2015 will be crowned during a special ball at Lovegun in Williamsburg. If you aren’t able to snag a ticket to the fest, go to one of several after-parties on Saturday at Happy Fun Hideaway, Metropolitan Bar, Lovegun, and Spectrum.
