The dogs at Maria Hernandez Park need your help!

The dog run is in desperate need of new gravel – 60 tons of gravel, that is – and Brooklyn Bow Bow is asking the community to help out any way they can. Hoping to raise a total of $5,500, they’re even providing an incentive to donate – a free full day of daycare or a free individual walk with an in-house trainer for anyone who donates $200 or more.

The gravel will be delivered at noon on August 31, and they’re looking for help spreading the gravel. So if you’re quipped with a rake, shovel or wheelbarrow it’d be advised to bring those along. A full breakdown of the costs can be found directly on their fundraising page, and if you want to avoid the 4% that will be deducted if you donate online, then go donate directly at Brooklyn Bow Bow at at 1581 Dekalb Avenue.

The new gravel arrives August 31 at the Maria Hernandez Dog Run between Suydam and Starr Sts.
