What are you doing from January to March next year? Being cold and fretting about slush puddles in Bushwick, you say? Well, I have idea for you. How about being cold and fretting about slush puddles in Berlin instead? How? Well, you can swap your Bushwick room for a Kreuzberg room of Berliner Julian Pinkwart who will be dispatched to New York while serving at the UN. His Craigslist ad says:

“My shared-apartment is located in the popular students and artist quarter Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg not far from Alexanderplatz. My large, bright and friendly room is part of a 3-room apartment shared with one very nice flatmate called Marie (22 years, student). She will share a living-room with a home cinema, a large fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, dish-washer, laundry-machine, etc) and a bathroom with you. My bedroom has 63 sf and is furnished with a desk, a king size bed, wardrobe and cupboards. Wifi-internet and cabel-tv can be used.”

I mean, the guy has a dishwasher and laundry machine. Where do you get that in Bushwick? And, you can explore the local thriving art and music scenes of Kreuzberg (Berlin’s Williamsburg) and Neukölln (Berlin’s Bushwick) for three sweet months. It’s sort of like a semester abroad without going to college, or a Berlin-Brooklyn cultural exchange.

Awesome idea, if you ask us!
