It's getting cold outside. So, get warm and sweaty at one of these great gigs:

\Wednesday, November 13

Chastity Belt, Strange Ranger at Elsewhere, 8 p.m.

Two of the Pacific Northwest’s best are coming to Bushwick for a huge show on Wednesday night at Elsewhere. Seattle’s Chastity Belt continues to produce record after record of great music, and their fourth album, released in September on Hardly Art, is no exception. The album, which was co-produced by Jay Som’s Melina Duterte, is both dreamy and serene. Strange Ranger, who hail from Portland, Oregon, also just released their latest studio album, Remembering the Rockets, back in July.

Thursday, November 14

Stonefield, The Wants, TVOD at Turk’s Inn

Psychedelic rockers Stonefield are in the midst of a North American tour in support of their latest album, Bent. They’ll be gracing the stage of The Sultan Room on Thursday night along with local post-punk act The Wants, who recently released a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl single that includes “Clearly In Crisis” and a special unreleased track, “Nuclear Party.” The night starts with the danceable disco-punk of TVOD.

Friday, November 15

The Mystery Lights, No Parents, Miranda & The Beat at Market Hotel, 8 p.m.

Local garage-psych outfit The Mystery Lights are back from their jaunt around Europe and are ready to blow the roof off of Market Hotel on Friday night.  Bushwick Daily got the scoop on the band’s latest record, Too Much Tension, via an in-depth interview with frontman Mike Brandon back in May. They’ll enjoy support from raucous Los Angeles punks No Parents and the local vintage garage-soul sounds of Miranda & The Beat

Saturday, November 16

Goon, Big Bliss, Monograms at The Broadway, 8 p.m.

Saturday night at The Broadway features a performance from Los Angeles’ Goon, who released one of the more intriguing records of the year with their debut effort, Heaven Is Humming. It’s a whirlwind of grunge and shoegaze, and even has some Elliot Smith-esque moments. Big Bliss recently treated a capacity crowd at Union Pool to a slew of new songs, so to get a sneak peek of what’s to come next year, don’t miss them on Friday - it’s their last scheduled gig of 2019. Monograms, who received high praise from Bushwick Daily for their latest release, play first.
