It’s that time of the year again! As June comes to a close, the Fourth of July waits right around the corner and just as always, we’ve got you covered for the best plans to celebrate the holiday!

Dromedary Bar

The tiki themed bar is hosting their annual Fourth of July party with an assortment of cheap specials, including a $4 “American slider-beer combo,” donning American flags on each cheeseburger slider; taco specials all-day long, and barbeque pork over fries. Keeping up with the friendly competition theme of previous years, Dromedary will be running a flamingo cooler ring toss, with winners being granted free beer. If that’s not enough, Captain America movies will be screening throughout the party. Doors open at 1:00 PM!

Dromedary Bar is located at 266 Irving Avenue.

Get ready to pig out at Brooklyn Cider House’s  second annual Fourth of July Pig Roast! From 12 p.m. to 9 p.m, celebrate the U.S.A, with a whole suckling pig, slow-cooked in a Caja China-style roasting box, live music, patio games, and as you expected—plenty of cider! If the roast pork platters or sandwiches aren’t your thing, there’s plenty of other options on the Cider House’s tasty menu. If you come on down, don’t be shy to bring your four-legged friend, dogs are welcome to celebrate too!

Brooklyn Cider House is located at 1100 Flushing Avenue.

Want to relive those classic American summer carnival nights from your distant past? Look no further than Roberta’s “July 4th Free-Dumb” party, with tons of carnival games and prizes, including speaker towers, a bicycle and Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.

There’ll be live music, BBQ and grilling, and plenty of time to kindly convince that friend that won’t shut up to get in the Dunk Tank. The first 500 people get a gift bag, with a shirt, sunglasses, coozie, and more! They just renovated their backyard, as well. From 1 p.m. to close!

Roberta's is located at 261 Moore Street.

Macy’s Firework Show

Rejoice! For the first time since 2015, the gorgeous Fourth of July fireworks display will be returning to the Brooklyn Bridge––making downtown Brooklyn residents happy and their instagrams happier. For the past three years, the show has taken place on the East River, granting views solely to those in proximity to Midtown. According to Macy’s, this year’s show will feature “three times more pyrotechnic firepower as Macy’s creative team tries to push the boundaries past conventional firework shows to include more dazzling and intricate effects firing from locations spanning the entire bridge.” If you find yourself on a rooftop in the area, look out! The show starts approximately at 9:20 p.m.

Brooklyn Mirage

The Day Party returns this coming Fourth of July to the Brooklyn Mirage,  bringing to the stage Grammy-nominated artist and producer, J.Cole, along with music by DJ Moma (Everyday People) and DJ Spade. The Day Party made a lot of buzz in its early years when it hosted Drake and Virgil Abloh. Just a year after his most recent hit album, KOD, music-goers can expect nothing short of a legendary experience from the great J.Cole in his return to Brooklyn. From 4 p.m. to midnight! Tickets here.

Brooklyn Mirage is located at 140 Stewart Avenue.

House of Yes

As with most holidays, you can always rely on House of Yes to bring the party. This time around, their free Fourth of July Indepen-Dance celebration will be driven by the booming sounds of DJs Zephyr Ann and Whitney Fierce, plus all the barbecue food, frozen drinks, and hot tub relaxation that you’d need. Though more important than the endless dancing and the extravagant outfits: 15 percent of the bar's proceeds are going to the ACLU to help fight for abortion rights. From 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., RSVP here! At 10 p.m. the party changes over to Dirty Thursday and goes until 4 a.m.!

House of Yes is located at 2 Wyckoff Avenue.

Nowadays

Famous for their weekly Mister Sunday barbeque parties, you probably figured Nowadays would throw a barbeque in their outdoor space on July 4 as well. Well you’re right, and it’s free! With DJs Butter and Cam taking over the music, lay back in a hammock and relax over some ping-pong with friends, until the fireworks are unveiled later in the evening.

Nowadays is located at 56-06 Cooper Ave.

North Brooklyn Farms

After hosting six years of successful Fourth of July Celebrations, North Brooklyn Farms will host its seventh––this time on an outdoor property near the Domino Park development. Not only does that mean a spacious, instagram worthy space, but you’ll be in perfect view of the Macy’s Firework Show, without having to reserve a spot for hours. Enjoy hot dogs from Stina’s Weina’s, beer provided by Bushwick’s Kings County Brewing Collective, and a wide selection of games and activities. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets here.

North Brooklyn Farms is located at 320 Kent Avenue.

No silly, the Fourth of July isn’t only about hot dogs and burgers—Three Diamond Bar will be hosting a Fourth of July BBQ Cookout Extravaganza, dishing out fresh tacos from noon until the very last taco is completely gone. Jose and Midwest Robert will be at the helm, preparing your choice of BBQ pulled pork carnita tacos or BBQ tofu mushroom “carnita” tacos––and if you really do want burgers and hot dogs, there will be plenty of those too!

Three Diamond Door is located at 211 Knickerbocker Avenue.
