Another of our neighborhood’s favorite spots has closed its doors.

This time the victim is Owl Juice Pub at 48 Wyckoff Ave, a place where cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and “inteligentsia coffee” had been a local favorite since 2011.

“Our lease is up and we decided to keep only the other two coffee shops we have… Central Cafe Brooklyn at 108 Central and Central Cafe Seneca at 487 Seneca Ave,” co-owner Carmen Valerio told Bushwick Daily in a statement yesterday.

Owl Juice was the second of three business that Bushwick “natives” Carmen Valerio and Leticia Castillo opened in the neighborhood, including the two cafes on Central Avenue. The owners assured us that Owl Juice’s menu — in its entirety —  will be available at Central Cafe Seneca.

In addition to their homegrown following, we reported back in 2013 that Ben Stiller and the crew of Noah Baumbach’s comedy “When We Were Young” spent a lot of time sipping various drinks at Owl Juice while shooting the movie in the loft of a building across the street.

So sorry, Ben and Noah. If you decide on that sequel, you’ll have to get your coffee somewhere else.
