Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Bushwick Print Lab (“BPL”) will host Printmakers Anonymous at Studio #204, 1717 Troutman Street, for T-shirt printing and learning about the artist run DIY community space.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own shirts or tote bags to the event. After a brief demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to choose from a handful designs premade by the BPL Artists to be printed on aforementioned items.

BPL was founded by Ray Cross in 2009 and is described as, “An artist run silkscreen production studio specializing in hand-printed fine art, editions on paper, canvas, textiles / t-shirts / totes, zines, invitations and custom materials.”

The shop offers studio space rental, basic to advanced printmaking workshops, and pay services such as screen making, film outputs and print production. BPL also accepts work trade agreements, where in leu of pay, patrons agree to work at BPL in exchange for studio time. These agreements help keep studio space accessible to artists across the economic spectrum. “Bushwick Print Lab is about community and allowing artists to have the space to produce their own art,” says BPL production assistant, Karen Hasson.

The event will be free and open to the public, it will include refreshments and participants are welcome to bring their own drinks.
