Following a Supreme Court failure to make a decision on keystone Obama administration immigration legislature Thursday, local organizations and community members announced that they would be rallying today at noon outside City Hall to express indignation with the country’s lawmakers.

The rally, which will include delegations from Make the Road New York, the New York Civil Liberties Union, New York Communities for Change, the Center for Popular Democracy, the Working Families Party, and Tenants & Neighbors, will give voice to the frustrations of New Yorkers who have a lot at stake in SCOTUS’ decision on DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents) and expanded DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), which a Make the Road spokesperson characterizes as “commonsense programs that are lawful, constitutional, and consistent with decades of actions taken by presidents of both parties.”
