We’ve got five cool events that we’ve curated just for you, Bushwick. Unlike many events pages on other sites, these are actually fun. Even we go to them.

Tuesday: Weirdo Painting class

7:30-9 p.m. at Cult Party, 53 Waterbury St.

Come channel your inner Bob Ross and learn how to paint stuff in a relaxed,  friendly, and colorful boutique setting. Event organizers will provide you with a canvas to paint during a step-by-step lessson taught by a professional painter. The event costs 35$ and byob is strongly encouraged.

Wednesday: Community meeting

7:45 p.m. at Bushwick Abbey, 176 St Nicholas Ave.

This monthly meeting at Bushwick Abbey is organized by the HUBB BK, which helps active, forward thinking people to organize locally and help cultivate the community through progressive steps of action. 

Thursday: The Brobot Johnson Experience by Darian Dauchan

8 p.m. at The Bushwick Starr, 207 Starr St.

One hundred years from now, Hip Hop androids known as Brobots will spread their message of peace, love, and dopeness all over the universe. Through live, looped vocals, rhymes, and beat-boxing, Robots perform the origin story of the first of their kind. They call it The Brobot Johnson Experience. Tickets are available here.

Friday: $10 community yoga

4:30-5:30 p.m. at Loom Yoga Center, 1087 Flushing Ave.

Taught by graduates of Loom Yoga’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, this donation-based community class provides low-cost yoga to anyone who wishes to attend. All proceeds will be donated to local nonprofit Exhale to Inhale, an organization which brings yoga to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.

Sunday: Ridgewood bazaar

1 p.m. at The Windjammer, 552 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood

The Windjammer is hosting a new monthly market, The Ridgewood Bazaar. A wide range of vendors will be showcasing their wares, including handmade items, vintage clothing and collectibles, food, records, hair and skin care products.
