Next Friday, locals Laura Regan and Gabo Rodriguez invite the public to join them at a grand opening party for their new bar and venue The Footlight, to celebrate the new spot’s launch with live music, cheap drinks and lots of good company.

Regan and Rodriguez announced plans to open The Footlight more than a year ago. They had long eyed the space at 465 Seneca Avenue on the corner of Hart Street, which was adorned with big neon light fixtures that immediately evoked good times in bygone eras.

This past weekend, their dream became a reality when their brainchild, a beautiful and multi functional space, opened its doors during Out in the Streets Fest (another local institution Rodriguez is involved with).

Now that The Footlight is up and running in all its glory, it’s time to give the space a proper christening!

Swing by the joint between 7:30 p.m. and midnight next weekend for a memorable evening. A $5 cover at the door pays local acts Monograms, LIP TALK, Starlight Girls and The Teen Age, who will will take turns taking the stage, and the cheap booze will be flowing.

RSVP here, and enjoy!
