Sure, you can watch the edited talks from this year’s main TED Conference once they go up on YouTube while you procrastinate with a coworking buddy or wait for your laundry to complete the spin cycle. Chances are you know from long experience that the multimedia lectures presented by enthusiastic innovators will be well worth the watch, especially since the focus of this year’s conference is dreams.

And even if you’re a big fan, we won’t blame you if you never even considered purchasing tickets to the event itself, which start at $8,500, especially since the conference is taking place in Vancouver this year. However, it might interest you to know that this year, you can catch an evening’s worth of the proceedings from the comfort of your own neighborhood for the very reasonable price of $5!

For the second year in a row, TEDxBushwick will be hosting a livestream viewing of the evening’s real-time TED talks on Thursday, February 18th, this year at Bushwick bar, lounge and event space Lot45.

TEDxBushwick has teamed up with the TEDx chapter in Jersey City to plan their livestream coverage: if you don’t want to miss the Wednesday, February 17th TED talks, either, you can cross the river to check them out at Jersey City bar and gallery LITM.

TEDxBushwick, which has hosted plenty of cool events since its inauguration, will hold its own TEDx conference on the theme of collaborative creation this year on Saturday, March 26th.

Next week’s livestream will start at 7pm and run until 10pm; interested parties can RSVP on Facebook. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door, and Lot45 is located at 411 Troutman Street between Wyckoff Ave and St. Nicholas Ave off of the Jefferson stop on the L train. See you there!
