Good Composer Dead Composer Wrap-Up Show

What is it?

“When you release four albums of bizarre pop music that can be played together as an art installation why not do a music video for all 58 tracks?”

This is a party celebrating the project’s completion. There will be dancing, DJs and, of course, screenings of music videos.

“For the weird, the curious, the apartment-weary and the fans of B movies.”

Warrior Writers Veterans Day Writing Workshop

What is it?

In honor of Veterans Day, Warrior Writers will host a virtual writing workshop for veterans and active duty service members. There will be prompts that cover a variety of military issues and experiences. The point is to share stories, opinions and ideas for productive writing, reflecting, storytelling and art-making.

ATITI: Stories rarely told, faces rarely seen, voices rarely heard

What is it?

Catch the second reception of the solo exhibition of new paintings by the Nigerian artist Joseph Eze. “ATITI” is curated and produced by Vincent Ugokwe of DozieArts. Atiti means “waste” in the Igbo language. The exhibition examines the life of people living at the “bottom” of the social structure. Individuals living at the bottom of the social structure may be considered “waste,” but they possess deep and diverse stories that are depicted through the paintings showcased at this exhibition.

Evil Twin x Two Tides Mini Slush Fest

What is it?

Evil Twin has invited Two Tides Brewing from Savannah, GA to take over its four frozen machines to make beer slushies. The flavor list includes Spicy Melonz, Jeppe’s Finest Pain Killer, Citrus Dreamsicle and Fructus Danica 6. The details of each flavor being served can be found here. Slushies will be poured until they are kicked.

Clothing Swap

What is it?

Enjoy a fall skate session and clothing swap with Queerskate Brooklyn, Q4Q and TheySkate. Participants can bring a maximum of 10 items and then swap for as many items as they brought. The groups will also be collecting canned food and clothing for donations to various mutual aid organizations.

Blue Skatepark at Martinez Playground.
